Jack Comes Home

It was so hard to leave the hospital... not because of what was to come, but because really really enjoyed the "vacation". I mean, c'mon y'all... you get a moveable bed, your (surprisingly delicious) meals are delivered, nice people bring the baby to you (and take him away when you need some rest!). We stayed the full three nights that were covered by our insurance. :)

Lucy Meets Jack

So very sweet, right? The big-sister gift that Jack "brought" her was a stuffed Grover doll. It didn't take her long to throw it down on the floor. She enjoys giving her baby brother sweet little kisses on the noggin.

Welcome Jack

He's so kissable!

Weighing in at...

He's Here and He's Big!

Jack Edward Kimberlin was born in Nashville at 2:20pm on June 9 via C-section. He weighs 10 lbs, 8 oz and is 22 inches long. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He's very soft-spoken but he's always hungry. He opened his eyes when he first heard his Momma's voice. Tracy is recovering nicely and Lucy gave him some sweet kisses when she met him tonight.

From Wiki: Jack: Well-known author, Clive Staples Lewis (29 November 1898 – 22 November 1963), was commonly referred to as C. S. Lewis and known to his friends and family as Jack. At the age of four, shortly after his dog Jacksie died when run over by a car, Lewis announced that his name was now Jacksie. At first he would answer to no other name, but later accepted Jack, the name by which he was known to friends and family for the rest of his life.

Edward: Edward has become a name commonly used in Tracy's family. William Edward (Ed) Watkins was Tracy's Granddaddy whom she refers to as one of the the greatest men who ever lived. He was well loved by his family and he was known to have been a great story teller as well as a simple yet wise man.
