During the time it took to dye eggs, we let Michael and Lucy color. However, they were more interested in making silly faces. It was her first time to dye eggs.

Lucy has been watching Word World for the past month. This, along with knowing her ABC's well, has helped her understand the beginnings of spelling words.

Easter Greeting

Taught Lucy how to say "Christos Anesti." We're teaching her about the Resurrection. It's mostly memorization at this age. She's been watching the Easter Carol (the Veggie Tales Easter-ized version of Dickens' Christmas Carol) and has been greeting me with "Happy Easter... Christos Anesti."

Glen has been reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe to Lucy every night this week, one chapter at a time. She's particularly interested since the main character's name is Lucy (which is one of the reasons we gave our child that name).

First French Braid

My sister Melanie always braided my hair when we were younger. While I have never done this before, I did know a little bit of how it worked. It's funny hearing me tell her the same thing Melanie told me. Stay still, tilt your head down, don't move side to side.

First Time in a Swing

Jack seems to want to stay in the swing longer than Lucy did at this age.

Summer Outfit Outgrown

While it's not Spring yet (and this was a chilly day), I had to put him in some of the outfits for pictures before he outgrew them. This one barely fit... it's even tight around his arms. He's wearing 12-18 month clothes (he's not quite 9 months here).

Eating Together

It's nice having them at the table with us for dinner. We are (finally) a family who eats together. (Lucy loves stealing his puffs.)

Loving the Double Stroller

This stroller has been great for trips to the zoo, park and mall (Thanks Grammy). Can't wait to use it in the "stand" position for Lucy.

Trip to the Grocery

The Ergo is one of my favorite contraptions for Jack (it works nicely for Lucy as well). They love it... and who wouldn't, really? If it is close to nap time or I don't want to use the stroller, this is perfect. We eventually snapped the hood in place to keep his head up.

We let her sleep by the window so she could watch the snow fall.
